On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, a terrible heinous crime was made against the people of the United States, and those of  62 other countries that were visiting our once peaceful shores.  Since that day, I've had mixed emotions from terror, grief, courage, patriotism, and sorrow.

Perhaps the most poignant is the sorrow.  The loss of our freedoms that we enjoyed here without question.  The loss of no longer feeling safe in your home.  The loss of friends and family.  How could a group of individuals take away from us in moments what it took hundreds of years to achieve....and only if they took it away for those short moments, those moments we will never recover, they are forever lost except in our memory and in our hearts.

For the past week, I've tried to express my emotions through my art - working with images that I was able to collect, create or use from royalty and copyright free image repositories, while still respecting copyright of the original photographers or artists.  The montage compositions I've created are available for purchase in limited quantities.  Proceeds of the sale of these compositions after production expenses ( i.e., printing, shipping and handling) will be distributed to The American Red Cross and The Fire Department of New York City.

All compositions are printed on  8 ½ by 11 inch heavyweight matte paper, suitable for matting and framing.  All costs include shipping and handling (California residents add 8% sales tax).  To order contact me via email at sassyone@qnet.com, indicating which item you would like to order, and to which charity you would like the funds to go to.  I will then contact you to give you information about payment options and to obtain your mailing address.  Delivery to your mailing address approximately 2 weeks.
